Cavallino-Treporti: Capitale Europea Open-Air 

The project aims to enhance the tourist destination of Cavallino-Treporti, particularly through the development and consolidation of the most representative local businesses, gathered in the tourist promotion consortium “Parco Turistico di Cavallino-Treporti”.

The project originates from a shared strategy of development, promotion, and innovation among the involved stakeholders, with the main objective of enhancing new types of products beyond the well-established seaside offering—specifically those linked to the “open-air experience”, understood not only as the presence of outdoor accommodation facilities but as a true lifestyle philosophy naturally expressed through all the features of the territory.

Cavallino-Treporti is not only sea and wide beaches; it also offers a wide range of territorial beauties to be discovered and promoted: the lagoon, nature, numerous outdoor activities such as cycling, walking paths, boating, all water sports, the open-air museum trail, historical villages, vegetable gardens, and everything that may inspire visitors.

To develop products connected to slow & green tourism and achieve related goals, the project introduced specific promotional and commercial actions, reputation-building activities, and visibility initiatives, using both traditional tools—such as TV commercials, the Sole 24 Ore event, and specialized foreign press—and online tools like the website, social media, innovative platforms, and the involvement of influencers or travel bloggers.

These diverse actions helped position Cavallino-Treporti as a “sustainable destination”, economically, environmentally, and socially, also thanks to the enhancement of its Unesco brand.

All this has brought significant effects to the entire destination, such as the extension of the tourist season and an increase in tourist flows due to new market niches.

Additionally, the project positively impacts employment and entrepreneurial development through efficient resource use and sustainable management of natural capital and cultural heritage.

The initiative was carried out with funding from the Complementary Operational Programme (POC) to the POR FESR 2014–2020 of the Veneto Region.

Support of €8,948.30 for a total project value of €566,535.40.

 

 

 

CAVALLINO-TREPORTI: LA VACANZA OPEN-AIR VERSO LA SOSTENIBILITA’  

The project entitled “CAVALLINO-TREPORTI:LA VACANZA OPEN-AIR VERSO LA SOSTENIBILITA” aims to enhance the tourist destination of Cavallino-Treporti and therefore involves the O.G.D. Cavallino-Treporti. It is promoted by the tourist promotion consortium “Parco Turistico di Cavallino-Treporti”, which acts as the lead partner, with 25 businesses participating in the aggregation.

The enhanced tourist products are linked to open-air tourism, with a slow & green approach, connected to the lagoon ecosystem, cycle tourism, culture, and food & wine traditions. The target markets include the Italian market (Veneto, Lombardy, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige, Piedmont, and Rome) and foreign markets such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, and Scandinavian countries.

Specific promotional and commercial actions are planned to improve reputation and visibility, using both traditional tools—such as the RAI TV commercial, foreign specialized press, and the new catalog—and online tools, including the website, social media channels, and innovative digital platforms.

The main objectives are to enhance the destination as a sustainable and accessible tourist location; to consolidate specific markets while acquiring new ones; and to create strong and unified tourism governance consistent with the “Veneto The Land of Venice” brand.

Cavallino-Treporti: Open-Air & Sostenibilità – Il Viaggio Continua 

The project “Cavallino-Treporti: Open-Air & Sostenibilità – Il Viaggio Continua” continues and strengthens the path initiated through previous regional calls. It aims to enhance the tourist destination of Cavallino-Treporti, with the exclusive involvement of the OGD Cavallino-Treporti. The OGD plays a central role in strategic guidance, territorial coordination, and connecting institutions, businesses, and the local community.

The project aims to consolidate a model of open-air tourism that is sustainable, accessible, and competitive, aligned with the 2030 Agenda and regional planning strategies. A total of 18 entities are involved, including the lead partner (the Consorzio) and 17 businesses representing the local area.

Cavallino-Treporti is an outstanding destination thanks to its beaches, lagoon, natural environment, historic villages, fortifications, and agricultural production. The territory is part of the UNESCO site “Venezia e la sua Laguna” and stands out as the European capital of open-air tourism. Among its main strengths are cycle tourism, the lagoon, slow travel routes, historic villages, and the widespread system of military fortifications.

A key component is the sustainability commitment of the Blue & Green Community and the goal of obtaining GSTC certification for the destination. The project aims to transform local resources into structured, innovative, and seasonally diversified tourism products.

The planned activities include traditional promo-commercial actions (RAI TV commercial and sector magazine advertisements) and digital strategies (web marketing and social media marketing, website with AI agents), targeting both the Italian market (Veneto, Lombardy, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige, Piedmont) and international markets. Special attention is devoted to consolidated markets such as Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Scandinavian countries.

The main objectives are to increase visibility, reputation, competitiveness, and cohesion among the businesses participating in the Consorzio.

The project aligns with the PTA 2025 and the regional brand “Veneto, The Land of Venice”, focusing on sustainability, innovation, accessibility, and slow tourism.
